Business Law, is class that requires a lot of memorization, as you need to learn about all areas of the law and go in depth on contract, employment, and property law. Case studies are really important to figuring out how law is applied. Sometimes classes go through a mock trial or have frequent discussions which make this a very interesting class. Professor Lykins makes the material interesting and lectures fun, even if you have to go at 8am. Take good notes while he lectures since the overheads just state the subject he's talking about.
To add to the above, I also highly recommend that you take this class from Prof. Lykins. He's so entertaining with his 'colorful' anecdotes pertaining to the subject he's currently trying to teach. It's definitely a welcome way of teaching a subject that has the potential to be really boring if you just drone on. Go to class, read the book, and the book will make much more sense with his scenarios in mind. If all teachers taught like he did, we probably wouldn't mind 2 hour classes as much!

I am currently taking this class from Prof. Lykins, he's very entertaining but it's very important to attend class and read the chapters if not before class before the midterm. With the potential of being a very boring class, Lykins makes every attempt to keep class fun and interactive, keeping not only the students entertained but himself as well. If you go to class, read the book, take notes and ask questions everything will make much more sense and make doing well in his class much easier.

I went into Business Law excited to see what it was like. I want to go to law school after OSU so this class was a way for me to get started in law. I knew nothing about any of the professors and just signed up for one. I signed up for Lykins, and I couldn't have been happier. The class is a lot of material in a short period of time. You go through almost the whole book chapter by chapter without a break in between, once you finish one in the middle of class, you start the next. However, he makes the material interesting so you want to go to class. It's a class where if you miss you miss a lot of information that isn't in the book because of his eccentric examples that make you think outside the box. He does go fast with his notes but if you keep up then you will be very well off for the test because his tests are very straight forward. The class as a whole is a very interesting class which I would want to take even if I was not a business major. Just make sure that you go to class because the book is very dry and boring. It is definitely a class where you need to read as well as go to class but you don't want to wait until the night before the test to read it all because it's a lot of information all at once.
I am currently taking this class and I think that is a wonderful class. If you go to class every day and pay attention, do the homework and you will be fine. The reading is helpful but if you dont want to spend a lot of money on the book, you will be fine.

When signing up for classes my freshman year for fall term of my sophomore year I was very excited that I was able to get into Business Law. I am currently taking this class, and it is required for my major. This course is very informative and can teach you a lot about very important things within law that may effect you in your life. I am enrolled in Gary Hunter's section for this class, and I would highly recommend him to anyone that is planning on taking this course. As a lawyer, he frequently uses real life cases for examples and applies them to what we are currently studying. By doing this he really gives students a clear perspective on the material.

Very interesting and informing class. I'm currently enrolled in this class and I find every class interesting. There is a lot of dull reading involved but it is critical to read to understand what is going to be discussed in class. Professor Hunter puts a big emphasis on our writing which I think is good because writing is critical and the more professors that put an emphasis on it, the better. Tests are worded very carefully and you need to go over it slowly to make sure you're reading it right and which law applies to it.
