From BeavrWiki
General info
The OSU Big Buddy Little Buddy Program is a volunteer organization for OSU students and other members of the OSU community. We have recently partnered up with the Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis (BBGC) so that Big Buddies are also BGCC volunteers. Our office is located in Snell Hall or MU East 142 (take a right as soon as you enter the building from Jefferson, we are the first door on your left). You can reach us at:
osubuddies@oregonstate.edu 541-737-6369 -our website is still under construction.
The current co-directors of the program are: Joel Geelan, Sara Haidar, and Lucas Rue.
Why get involved with BBLB?
- Spend time being a positive role model for a little buddy.
- Feel great about giving time to help someone else!
- Take a break from the stresses of college and act like a kid again!
- Connect with the Corvallis community through Boys and Girls Club of Corvallis.
- Build friendships with other OSU students through monthly events.
- It’s just fun!!!
General expectations
Big Buddies are expected to spend time with their matched little buddy at the Boys and Girls Club at least 2 hours/week for one full academic year. Your first step in becoming involved is to visit our office in Snell Hall 142 and pick up an application. More information is available in that application packet, which you can also pick up from the bulletin board outside our office.
