Definitions - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia [1]
DEPRESSION: Clinical depression, a medical condition identified by clusters of symptoms such as markedly-decreased mood, motivation, interest, energy levels, etc (also known as severe depression disorder or major depression disorder). WIKIPEDIA
SUICIDE:(from Latin sui caedere, to kill oneself) is the act of willfully ending one's own life. Suicide is sometimes used as a noun for one who has committed or attempted the act. WIKIPEDIA
SCHIZOPHRENIA: is a psychiatric diagnosis that describes a mental disorder characterized by impairments in the perception or expression of reality and/or by significant social or occupational dysfunction. A person experiencing untreated schizophrenia is typically characterized as demonstrating disorganized thinking, and as experiencing delusions or auditory hallucinations. WIKIPEDIA
Although the disorder is primarily thought to affect cognition, it can also contribute to chronic problems with behavior and emotion. Due to the many possible combinations of symptoms, there is ongoing and heated debate about whether the diagnosis necessarily or adequately describes a disorder, or alternatively whether it might represent a number of disorders. For this reason, Eugen Bleuler deliberately called the disease "the schizophrenias" plural, when he coined the present name.
EATING DISORDER: An eating disorder is a compulsion to eat in a way which disturbs physical health. The eating may be excessive (compulsive over-eating); too limited (restricting); may include normal eating punctuated with episodes of purging; may include cycles of binging and purging; or may encompass the ingesting of non-foods. The best-known eating disorders are Anorexia nervosa and Bulimia nervosa. The most widely and rapidly spreading eating disorder is compulsive overeating or Binge eating disorder. The three most common eating disorders are anorexia, bulimia and binge eating disorder. All three have severe consequences to a person's health and can even cause death. There are numerous theories as to the causes and mechanisms leading to eating disorders. WIKIPEDIA
