Dear New Students
We are glad to see that you are interested in attending Oregon State University to pursue your academic goals. From personal experience, I can say that OSU has provided me with an environment that is warm and welcoming. Hence, the slogan, "Open Minds, Open Doors." This University believes in not only helping you earn your degree, but also strives to make each and every students feel at home.
We, The India students Association (ISA), feel it is our responsibilty to help our fellow Indian studentss feel connected to what we have been enriched with our whole lives, our culture. In persuit of this goal, we organize events such as Diwali Night, Republic Day, Ganesha Festivals, and Dandiya Night just to name a few. Our crowning jewel is an OSU sponsored Indian cultural variety show, "India Night." This prestigious annual event brings OSU students from all over the world and the Indian Community of Oregon together to celebrate the bright and beautiful culture of India.
For New students, ISA offers a variety of services to help the newcomer feel at home from the first day he or she arrives in Corvallis. We offer advice on when to fly, rides from the airport, and a senior roomate to live with you for the first week before you find an apartment of your own. We also help you decide on the best places to live in the city. Not to mention, you can be assured that someone will always be there to help you whenever you need assistance.
