About
OSU Gaming is a student organization at Oregon State University officially recognized by MUPC (Memorial Union Programs Council). Our main objectives are to host several LAN parties per year, as well as to maintain various game servers. Below you find tons of information about our organization and the services it provides. To plan our events and make decisions about the organization, we hold meetings on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month during the regular school year. Check the home page for details on upcoming meetings. If you are interested in joining us for our meetings, you can subscribe to our mailing list here. All announcements about meetings and LANs, etc. will be sent to the list. If you are interested in joining us on our servers, please go our Servers page to see what kinds of servers we have, what their IP addresses are.
Membership
While our events and game servers are generally open to the public, OSU Students and Employees are eligible to become official members of OSU Gaming. As a member, you recieve several benefits, including:
- Priority registration for events
- Eligibility to win "members only" draft prizes
- Discounted admission price for events (see below)
- Voting rights at OSU Gaming meetings
Members that participate in at least 75% of general meetings earn the status of "Active Member," and become eligible to receive discounted admission to events. The amount of the discount will vary from event to event, so the discounted price will be announced prior to each event.
Becoming a Member: OSU Gaming Membership dues are currently $10, to be paid annually. If you would like to become a member you can pay your dues at any general meeting beginning March 5th. At this point, we accept only cash or checks. Checks must be made out to OSU Gaming (not Oregon State University).
Game Servers
At OSU Gaming, we maintain four dedicated game servers, with a fifth one on its way. Below you will find a list of these servers, their game types, IP Addresses, and other important information. If you have any questions about the game servers, or if you have any comments or suggestions, you can direct them to our Game Server Manager, Nathan Etzel (Contact Us).
Our servers are completely open to the public, and all are welcome and encouraged to join us. Hope to see you in game,
