Idea

I am here to talk about snowboarding in Oregon. I have grown up on the mountain and I believe that I have a lot of knowledge that I would like to share with all of you. I will break down the different benefits of each hill and mountain in the region so that you can have the best experience possible when you hit the slopes. Also, I will break down the gear that is involved in having the best experience for you, and the most comfortable experience as well.

Mountains

Mt. Hood - Mt. Hood has grown by leaps and bounds in the last year, after experiencing a low snow year last year, this season has really helped people get up on the mountain. Hood has alot to offer, whether it be cliff dropping, powder runs or a nice park run, Mt. Hood is the place to be for people in the Portland area. There are Four different resorts on Mt. Hood, including: Mt. Hood Meadows, Ski Bowl, Timberline, and a newly added short hill Cooper Spur.

Meadows is probably the most popular of all of these hills, because of its open and diverse terrain. It offers high speed lifts to nearly all parts of the mountain that can range from beginner to expert. Meadows also offers a night ski which is a very enjoyable experience as a family. Timberline has a lot to offer in the summer, because it is on a large glacier, it holds many summer camps that people come from all over the world to attend. High Cascade Snowboard Camp is very popular with the pro snowboarders, and they love to come ride the super pipe that Timberline offers throughout the summer while they are making videos. Ski Bowl has the largest night ski option in the U.S.A. It allows people to enjoy the mountain from a different angle, and has rumor to be the best hill to attend if there is fresh snow. One of the main benefits of Ski Bowl is that the lift tickets are cheaper than most hills around the area.

Mt. Bachelor - This is my personal favorites mountain just because of the fact that it is bigger and more intimidating than Mt. Hood. There is a vast level of difficulty on Mt. Bachelor where you can enjoy the mountain at any skill level, but I believe that the mountain is best utilized if you have a well developed skill level. There are hidden places on the mountain that most 'locals' know about, and will have no problem showing the 'newbies' a good time. There are many secrets to the mountain, and one huge plus is the high speed quads that spread out over all of Mt. Bachelor.
